I was fortunate to be involved in an inspiration painting video series title, “By All Means Create” that Opus Art Supplies in producing.
It’s a series that covers discussions with various artists about how they deal with their inner critic. The concept is based on a quote by Vincent Van Gogh, “If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.”
We filmed at the Sapperton Landing Park, in New Westminster, overlooking the Fraser River. The day ended up being great for filming and painting albeit the noise from the sky train had me repeating myself quite a bit.
Ryan Mund, the videographer/editor, was fantastic during the shoot. As I painted during the first hour we chatted while he filmed from different viewpoints. When it came to filming the interview aspect of the video, the questions were casual and very friendly. I have a bad habit of forgetting what I just said, so having him remind me occasional was a big help.
A big thank you to Opus for including me in the video series. It was a fantastic experience. You have talented people working with you.
