Urban Posture

I thought it summed up daily life in an urban setting as I don’t think you can walk a block these days without seeing this posture. I chose to abstract the image to prove a point on how easy it is to recognize something that is part of all our daily lives now. The reference was from a photo I had taken while in Paris in 2010. DPW Challenge :: Help Japan

I am participating in the Daily Paintworks Weekly Challenge which is raising money this week to 'Help Japan' through their tough times. I submitted the painting below, as grain elevators always remind me of where I grew up in Alberta. All the money from the sale will be donated to the Red Cross. If you are interested in purchasing it Get bidding!!!!   Home Town Memories :: 11×14" :: Oil on...

Zippo :: Weekly Challenge

This weekly painting challenges are great. Reference photo was provided by Michael Naples and the painting was to be painted with only ultramarine blue, burnt sienna and white. To me, using such a limited palette was not the challenge, getting values correct was the challenge!! 8×8" :: Oil on Board :: $100 plus shipping     This was my palette after I was...
