This latest candy apple I just finished was recently accepted into the ‘Still Life" show with the FCA.
The painting, Pomme, will be on display and sale at the FCA Gallery between April 21 – May 3, 2009. Stop in and enjoy all the beautiful work that I am sure will be there.

Candy Apples :: Good News

:: CANDY APPLES ::
For all those interested I have three new candy apple paintings planned and in the works. Two are 10×20" and the third is 10×12".
If you or anyone else is interested the prices will be $410 for the 10×20′s and $350 for the 10×12". These prices are for framed pieces.

Orange :: From Life

I started this painting with burnt umber and white. After letting that layer dry I applied the colour on top.
Using that method I was able to apply thinner layers of colour which further allowed me to apply more layers as time went on.
Mixed Media Exhibit :: Two Paintings Accepted

I recently got word that two of my works will be in the "Mixed Media" exhibit at the FCA Gallery from February 3 to 15th, 2009.
The two paintings are "Hierarchy" seen above and "Style" seen below.

Pears

The 'Pears' was an exercise in value and colour. Specifically looking for colours that traditionally are not seen in the fruit. 8×10" on Canson Mi-Teintes paper.
