Post Ponting Workshop :: Two studies
Posted on November 2, 2008
After Dianna’s workshop painting I had time left over to complete two other works. This first one is of two posts in a field with lavender in front. I started with a complimentart watercolour underpainting to help bring out the pastels colours.
The last one is of two apple pears Dianna rescued from being eaten by a dear on her acerage.
Both were very enjoyable to do and very satisying to complete.

Ponting Workshop :: A Challenge
Posted on November 2, 2008
Phew, I am mentally beat after completing this piece. It sure was a great challenge to finish. Out of all the elements the feather and letter were the easiest. The hardest was the ink well.
The best part of the ink well was learning some new tips and tricks on tackeling that type of detail.
